“Manufacturing USA” Seminars – A Great Success

The two seminars organized by Nordic Industries Development received plenty of attention from Finnish Manufacturers.

Nordic Industries Development LLC and OY jointly hosted a delegation from the industrial heartlands of the USA on the first week of November. The delegation members met with governmental officials in Finland. They also gave their insights how to access and develop the markets in the USA for Finnish manufacturers in two seminars in Helsinki and Tampere. The seminars were organized together with the leading partners: Embassy of the United States Commercial Section, Wulff Entre and Tampere Chamber of Commerce and with assistance of AmCham and Fimecc.

Also well known Finnish companies such as Vacon, Avanttecno and HT Group shared ideas and experiences of succeeding in the USA and how Finnish exporting, manufacturing and engineering companies could benefit of the current boom.

The seminars were a great success and we would like to thank our American guests Joe Dehner (Director Transatlantic Business Development, FBT), Neil Hensley (Development Director, Blue Ash-Cincinnati) and Anne Cappel (European American Chamber of Commerce, Executive Director) as well as our Finnish speakers Timo Luukkala (VP, Manufacturing and Logistics, Vacon), Jani Käkelä (Sales and Marketing Manager, Avanttecno) and Jari Kuivanto (Sales Manager, Alamarin-jet Oy) for their contribution. Also we would like to thank all our organizing partners for making it possible to deliver such successful seminars both in Helsinki and Tampere.

Our special thanks go to ambassador Bruce J. Oreck who volunteered to deliver opening remarks in Helsinki seminar.
